Jazz dance is a fast moving, free style form of dance, using technique from ballet. This class increase stretch and strength, body alignments and expression to music.
Using BATD grade work, dancers progress through proper flexibility and strengthening and stretching where the dancer will learn body awareness. The dancer will then move through dance skills/movements to develop jazz technique and style. Throughout the class the steps and movements are then placed into choreography that can be used in class routines, performance opportunities.
