Competitive dance is a sport where dancers compete by performing dances in different dance styles like Jazz, Acro, Tap, Lyrical and Ballet. Competitive dancers must be physically fit and continuously train to maintain and improve their technique, balance skills, strength and flexibility. Competitive dancers are inspired and pushed by one another to evolve to amazing new heights. Competitions give the opportunity to learn how to rehearse effectively, work as a team and focus under pressure. Placement is based on the following criteria: technique, potential, commitment level, enthusiasm, attitude and behavior in class, attendance and stage presence. We place students together in groups that we feel will work the best together in rehearsal and performance. Please contact us for an audition to join our competitive team. |
